I’ve never had a persimmon! Sweet? Sour? Details lady… LOL

    • Mark describes them as being a cross between an apple and a melon. They remind me vaguely of cantaloupe, but more crisp. You can eat them skins on or off. The “hard” persimmons are for ready consumption but the soft kind are only good for cooking. I wanted to make some for baby food but Mark says I’ll have to buy more because he’s not sharing, lol.

  2. I wish I could get my kids to eat anything other than cheese, peanutbutter and well…cheese and peanutbutter.

That is a slight exaggerastion…but only slight!!

    Stopping over from SITS sharefest.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the silly header pics.

  3. What is it about Persimmons this year? They’re everywhere! Guess I’ll have to break down and try some!?

  4. I always wondered how you eat a persimmon. Now I know…

  5. Oh, I do love persimmons! Listen, I wanted to thank you soooooooo much for stopping by on my Special SITS Day. It’s taken me a while to get back, but I hope to see you around the blogosphere again soon!

  6. I have never had one. Nice picture! : )
